On the go...

Gunner gets smarter everyday, and when we tell him that he says, "maybe I am a genius!" I think I need to start a blog of Gunner's quotes and sayings! He has lots of energy and definitely keeps us on the go! Here are just a few of the things Gunner has been up to...
He worked hard and earned money to put towards his new bike!

Shared his ice cream treat with a bunch of Great Grandma Stringham's neighbor girls!

Hiked with mommy to Mesa Falls

Hiked to the Oxford Basin

Feeding calves

Petting the horses that took us for a covered wagon ride

ENJOYING SUMMER!!

Gunner boy

Gunner is FULL of life!  Gunner is growing up way to fast!  He really enjoys going to school and has new things that he has learned to show me everyday, like the Irish jig!  Gunner works hard to earn things, and it is fun to see the pleasure he gets knowing that he worked hard and has something to show for it.  When it warms up a little more, he has saved some hard earned money to purchase a bicycle

Things I love about Gunner: the smiles he shares with everyone, the endless amount of hugs and kisses, his giggle, his imagination and creativeness, his persistence, and his love for learning!

Gunner is such a good brother for Emree.  He enjoys making her laugh and is very proud of himself when he can help her stop crying.  His love for life is a good reminder for all of us that life is to be enjoyed not just endured!

4th BiRtHdAy!!!

Gunner's 4th birthday party December 1st! Time really flies...I can't believe Gunner is 4 years old.  I always tell him to stop growing, but he just laughs and says, 'but I can't, it just happens'
He had a nice day with family and friends. This past year he has became a big brother, started pre-school, and has continued to develop his love for learning, and of course he has kept life exciting & busy for all of us!
Hope you had a great birthday Gunner, we love you lots!!

Halloween 09'

Gunner the vampire and Emree the flower
The 'scary' Vampire
Pumpkin Carving

Halloween Fun! Gunner had a hard time deciding what to be for Halloween...we went from a dragon to a dragonfly, then to an alien with 3 eyes, then a 3 eyed alien dragonfly...but then he picked a vampire and I made him stick to that one as I'm not sure what he would have ended up looking like had I attempted the other ideas! He had a great time and was a 'scary vampire'! He had a school Halloween Party, went to Boo at the Zoo, and also went trick or treating Saturday evening. A bag full of candy, and he HASN'T eaten any of it!!! Hahaha what a silly kid (it will probably be around for next years trick or treaters ;) Happy Halloween!!

The Race is on!! Gunner vs Dad at TSR... Spencer took Gunner to the race cars at TSR as he grew the three inches to be able to ride! I don't know who had more fun a little boy riding for the first time or the big kid playing with his son!
He had so much fun and did really well, except when he was trying to look at me instead of the track :) His smile was priceless!

Gunner & his new sister

Big brother Gunner & his sister Emree...

Gunner is adapting well to a new baby at home. As always he keeps us entertained and laughing! When he comes to hug me he'll still kiss my belly as that is what he did before Emree arrived, then it will click that she's no longer in there and he'll laugh! He is such a big helper and loves is sister! No one could ask for better kids!!

Gunner helping take the kittens to Grandma Hatch's home!
Park day with Grandma Hatch...the rock he is sitting has a quote that says' "A day without laughter is a day wasted" Not a day passes that Gunner doesn't make someone laugh, he's very good at making people feel good!

Gunner off-roading on his scooter! He did pretty good until he says, 'mom, watch me go fast down this grass hill!' All I could do is laugh as he took off, started wobbling, then did the most graceful somersault at the bottom of the hill!! He stood up laughing and said, 'was that awesome?!'

Gunner at the splash park in Rexberg. It is a nice place to go and cool off on a hot summer day! Gunner is getting more daring, so he will now do the slides and that, he loves swimming, but water spraying in his face is not his idea of fun ;)
Max...Gunner has taken over ownership of Spencer's dog! Max is really good with Gunner and pretty protective of him as well! They are buddies! It will be nice when we can eventually get in a place of our own with a yard so we can have Max with us :)

The boys
Gunner and Baby belly (5.5 months)

Gunner by the cub river at Deer Cliff Inn.

What I love as a mother: smiles, kisses, hugs, having a comforting shoulder, wiping away tears, playful laughter through the house from Gunner, soon Emree, and the worlds best daddy/husband, hearing the words 'mommy, I love you!'

Doesn't get better than this!

We finally got around to hanging these airplanes up in Gunner's room. Gunner walks around on his tip toes trying to look at them, he is pretty happy about them! Now we just need to keep up with the airplane motif for the rest of his room!

Gunner in his little wet suit... & I mean little...hahaha! We found it while going through his packed away clothes, so he wanted to try it on. For some reason he loves to wear it around, although I must say it looks mighty uncomfortable!!

Gunner's favorite thing to do at the park is SWING! He could swing for hours or as long as someone can push him...he does swing on the big swings and starting to pump his legs, so maybe soon he'll swing himself ;)

Gunner is so proud of his new 'spider man' backpack! It has 'wheels' and lots of 'cool' pockets! These pics kind of make it look like he's going to school, how sad, time flies...
First day at the park for 2009! Wahoo...we finally had a nice spring day here so what better way to enjoy other than go to the park?! We even got kissed by the sun a bit, so all the better...Can't wait for more days like this!

Thanks Aunt Jenny!!

Aunt Jenny got Gunner the huge cardboard house for xmas...so we decided it's time to set it up! :) Gunner has been busy working on it, coloring it just right and packing all his toys in it, to much fun! One morning I knew Gunner was in his room, but didn't hear from him for a while, so I went to check...he had helped himself to some crackers and snacks and was just sitting in his little house on his stool as content as he could be enjoying his treat! It was pretty cute! Thanks Jenn!!

Gunner the Helper!

Gunner loves to help with whatever anyone is doing! Especially in the kitchen...so he and I broke out the cooking(if you can call it that) skills and make strawberry jam!

So after all that hard work, we had to wait 24 hours for it to set before we could enjoy it. Then as we are about to eat it, Gunner says, 'just toast with butter, no jam!' I said, 'you worked sooo hard, you have to atleast try a bite of it!' He did then smiles and says, 'more jam please'....success!!
Way to go chef Gunner! ;)

Can't say winter's been all drab. We have enjoyed a few snow days. This was Gunner's first skiing experience! He was a good sport and lasted for quite awhile considering the conditions and it being his first time. When we rented the skies, all they had left were bigger ones then for his size, BUT...they had purple, pink, yellow, green & blue hearts all over them so Gunner did not mind he thought they were pretty slick! I'm glad dad knows how to ski...mom just stuck to snow boarding & picture taking! Gunner's favorite part has standing on the magic carpet to ride to the top...
